The app does not include rural, snow or marine information, these can currently be accessed on the mobile website m.metservice.com. Rural forecasts can also be accessed on the FMG Rural Weather App.

This app was created for use on smartphones and is not supported for tablets.

App size is dependent on screen size and phone. Some tested examples are as follows:
- Samsung Galaxy (screen res 480p) RAM utilisation fluctuates from 8 to 20MB
- Samsung Galaxy S3 (screen res 720p) RAM utilisation is around 35MB
- Screen res 1080p RAM utilisation fluctuates around approx 35-45MB
